Baldasare, with his theatre work, stood out amongst the crowd as a true talent. Seven years later, Baldasare was offered the lead role in They Bite (1996), a low-budget homage to the old sci-fi films of the forties and fifties. They Bite has since gone on to become a much beloved cult classic. Nick Baldasare is also heavily involved in the Columbus, Ohio Actors' Theatre program. His first role with Actors' Theatre was Lysander in the 1986 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The experience helped to spark Baldasare's enthusiasm for Shakespeare, and has since gone on to appear in more than 10 Shakespeare adaptations winning several acting awards along the way. Recently, Nick adapted his monologue, "Horatio's Hamlet" into a short film directed by Jay Woelfel. The film, a nominee in the KidsFirst film festival, is now being distributed through Landmark Media.
